Bleh. Had to break it off with someone tonight. She took it rough. Which was a bit odd because of other signals....whatever, done and settled now and my feelings are clear. So have some vintage moog + erin renee + Mark Augustin! Such a sweet song. Glad I found it again.

Sorry to hear man, at least you’re feeling better about the whole thing now, and , as they say, “time heals all wounds” - she’ll be fine.
Love this song, although I actually think I like the newer version a bit better. :)

Kei To The City is a really good album by him. I listen to it exclusively at night when I’m driving somewhere.

This came up next, a great rendition of my favourite song from the album. Thanks for leading me to that :D
For the uninitiated, this is Moog from Mighty Car Mods

Yep. The movie was really good too. Not quite “turbos and temples” but the past few MCM films have been lacking something. Chasing midnight was very “meh”. It was sorta like kei to the city.....again.....only with less fun and more “WE HAVE TO GO JDM LYFE YOOOOOOO”

If that is the acoustic version of drive, it is pretty awesome.

I am still in awe at how good Moog is as a music producer. Like he’s some amateur car nut but a top shelf producer/composer. The behind the scenes of kei to the city was a lot of fun to see because of that.
And thanks for the sympathies. I had an actual, “oh god this hurts my soul” breakup a few months ago and for this I was like “noooooooOOOPE! not about to let this mistake devolve into something like that”

I think I liked Kei to the City the most of them. It felt pretty grounded in what grass roots drifting is. Their car was silly, but it was still a cool thing to see, the turbo AWD kei.

Kei to the city was very good at showing some grassroots enthusiasts but I like T&T more for the whole “two blokes do a road trip” angle. I have a few non-car friends who love it because of that aspect. But none really care for kei to the city too much. And chasing midnight.....yeah I didn’t even bother showing.

Just to clarify, the star was for Moog, not the breakup. Time heals all what’s meant to be other fish in the you’ll both be alright. A little Moog helps the soul anyway.

“If it was meant to be, time heals all the fish in the sea of life everyone plays to win hail lucifer” - most generic condolence ever.
I’m alright. She’s not. Though I guess considering she was the one who thought we were a “thing” not surprised.....Moog made my night and day better just because that’s what it does. Oversteer, Moog, and scotch are the three things that ca improve any day. It is not recommended to do all three at once.

I should watch T&T again, it’s been many years.

I’ve got all his current albums, very good stuff, and you’re welcome man :)

I prefer the Moog Cookbook, but I’m goofy like that.
Maybe this will help you feel better, too.
